AVIENERGY activities

ACTIVITY 1

Characterization and pretreatment of the starting biofuels.

Once the production processes and the different biofuels have been characterized, they will be pretreated in order to obtain a suitable fuel for the combustion system.

ACTIVITY 2

Design, construction, assembly and commissioning of the combustion system.

The design, construction and start-up of a combustion system adapted to previously characterized and pre-treated poultry waste will be carried out.

ACTIVITY 3

Characterization of solid and gas streams. Evaluation of the implementation of cleaning measures for the exhaust gas.

During the start-up of the installation, the gaseous emissions generated (O2, CO2, CO, NOx, SO2, HCl, etc.) will be continuously characterized under the optimized operating conditions. After analyzing the emissions results of the process, the need to implement additional control and purification systems to comply with current legislation will be evaluated. Their selection will be made based on the best available techniques and that are technically and economically feasible for their application on farms.

ACTIVITY 4

Recovery of the energy contained in the starting manure to obtain 1 new energy resource (heat) and electricity that can be used on the farm.

The thermal energy produced with the new biofuels (waste) will be recovered in the form of heat on the farms themselves, valuing animal welfare. Likewise, the starting biofuel will be used as a raw material to obtain electrical energy, evaluating the viability of its use for this purpose.

ACTIVITY 5

Evaluation of ashes as fertilizer materials and/or as a component in the preparation of fertilizers.

The ashes produced in the combustion process will be characterized with a view to their agronomic value based on their composition, availability of nutrients and toxicity. Its fertilizer potential will be verified under real field conditions using experimental plots and a protocol for the agricultural use of the ashes will be developed.

ACTIVITY 6

Knowledge of the environmental impact of the proposed solution.

The Life Cycle Analysis (LCA) methodology is a methodology that allows analyzing the environmental profile of processes, products and services throughout their life cycle. The LCA methodology will be implemented in the AVIENERGY project to evaluate the proposed solution.

ACTIVITY 7.1.

Initial communication and dissemination campaign.

It consists of the planning and development of content and communication strategy. The foundations of the visual identity are laid, the key recipients and the means to reach the target audience are identified. Launch and presentation of the project. First contact with the target public.

ACTIVITY 7.2.

Intermediate communication and dissemination campaign.

It consists of the design, preparation and dissemination of the materials and the carrying out of activities for the communication of the evolution of the project and the transfer of the preliminary results, to the general public and to the target sectors in particular.

ACTIVITY 7.3.

Final communication and dissemination campaign.

It consists of carrying out different activities of engagement and dissemination of materials for the transfer of final results to the sector and target audience.
